BENEFICIAL OWNERS´ REGISTER.
We would like to inform you that as of 1 January 2018, an amendment of Act No. 304/2013 Coll. came into force, which implements a non-public register of beneficial owners kept by record-keeping courts. All the legal entities registered in the Czech Commercial Register are obliged to register their respective beneficial owners in this new register. Until the end of 2018, this registration is free of charge, as of 1 January 2019, it will be subject to a stamp duty of CZK 1,000.
The amendment of Act No. 304/2013 Coll. has implemented the Fourth EU Directive on prevention of money-laundering and the financing of terrorism. The registration of the relevant facts takes place via an interactive form, which is available at https://issm.justice.cz/. The website also provides more detailed information regarding the filing. The filing can be done either through the given legal entity’s data box, in paper form with a signature verified by a notary, or in a digital form using an electronic signature.
